What does your Meta data say and why should you be worried?

First thing is what is metadata?

Well it is data that describes other data. Meta is a prefix that in most information technology usages means “an underlying definition or description.”

So what some people ask? When you were younger and might have read a comic or 2, I would look at the pictures to create the story even if it was not 100%.  It gave me a understanding of the story and how it flowed, without reading a work.

This is the view I have on metadata, someone is looking at you and writing the outcome before you turn the page based on your previous metadata.  The security services are currently using this in the fight against crime/terrorism!

To me, I think yes I want a safe environment yes I would like to have prevention before the cure. However what is the cost in having this as in everything thing in life when you push one side the other side it out of balance.

You give something up again and who wins in the end is it really the good guys?

I’m all for stopping crime and preventing acts of violence, I however do not like giving all my infomation over to someone who in the end is another man or woman. I hand them more power and let a little bit more of me and my choices disapear
